Fenland Joe 2
Thought i would share a couple of pics of lurchers from my childhood. Kizzy, a colliegreyhoundxdeerhoundgreyhound x greyhound. She was a superb coursing bitch with speed, stamina, athleticism and enough brains to keep out of too much trouble. She won the first East of England coursing club competition, my dad won the year after too with the Saluki greyhound bitch, Canaan, bred by Brian Plummer. The other bitch here is Polly, Granddaughter of Merab. Polly was bred by Brian in Caithness, she was a great ferreting dog, excellent nose, intelligence and very perceptive of everything around her, both above ground and below it. And here's me as a kid with Kizzy after a course. The third picture is my little brother and sister with my Olde English Bulldog, Jim. Not a great coursing dog, haha. Don Southerd had her after that. I've got some photos of her somewhere, i'll try and dig them out. Quote Link to post
